- Continues to be the leading cause of cancer death in PEI men and women, estimated to take the lives of over 110 Islanders in 2015 (more than prostate, breast and colorectal combined)
- Mortality rate of lung cancer among men and women is higher than national average at 26% and 11% respectively.
